When I think of you Gem I either smile because you were lovely or cry because I’ve lost you. We met 8 years ago at Chatterbox, I was working in the baby department and you came to join me!! Instantly we become great mates not only at work but socially too!! We had many a night out when you would either fall over or get your shoe stuck in a drain!! I have loads of photos from years gone by that remind me of the fun and laughs we had!! You were a true best mate; always there to listen and give advice, you always had a way of cheering me up and making things seem better. For a couple of years Thursday nights had been our catch up night. I’d often have dinner quickly and have a shower so I was ready for the phone to ring, or to phone you at 7.30, as I knew we would be talking for the next hour! I always looked forward to those phone calls, talking about anything that had happened that week at work or at home. There was always something to say! Until Thursday 26th May 2011 when I phoned you at 7.30 as always, only to learn that you’d left us……… I will never forget that day. Gem, you are missed and thought about every day and I hope that one day we do meet again we’ve got lots to catch up on! Love you lots Liza xx
